Van Ness Avenue Construction Forecast: February 25 - March 8, 2019

The following Van Ness Improvement Project construction forecast is subject to change. For more project details, please visit SFMTA.com/VanNess.

All night work is italicized below. The night shift for construction is scheduled between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. During this time, neighbors are advised to anticipate construction-related noise and vibrations as crews work diligently to complete necessary night work.

Tentative schedule:

In the next two weeks crews are scheduled to work on sewer and water main installation, sidewalk replacement, installing a joint utility trench and street light conduits, and potholing for upcoming work.

Monday through Friday, February 25 through March 1

  • Chestnut to Lombard. Night work is scheduled Monday and Tuesday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Lombard to Greenwich. (Wednesday through Friday only) Night work is also scheduled Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Greenwich to Filbert. Night work is scheduled Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Filbert to Union. (Thursday only) Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Union to Green. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Green to Vallejo. Night work is scheduled Wednesday and Thursday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Vallejo to Broadway. Night work is scheduled Wednesday and Thursday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Clay to Sacramento. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Sacramento to California. (Thursday and Friday only) *Intensive noise and vibration is expected. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • California to Pine. (Thursday and Friday only) *Intensive noise and vibration is expected.
  • Bush to Sutter. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Sutter to Post. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Post to Geary. Night work is also scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Geary to O'Farrell. Night work is also scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • O'Farrell to Ellis. Night work is scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Ellis to Eddy. Night work is scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Eddy to Turk. Night work is scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Turk to Golden Gate. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Wednesday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Golden Gate to McAllister. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • McAllister to Grove. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Grove to Hayes. Night work is also scheduled on Monday, February 25, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Hayes to Fell. Night work is also scheduled on Monday, February 25, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Fell to Market. (Thursday and Friday only) Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. *Intensive noise and vibration is expected on Monday and Tuesday. Disruptive noise is expected Wednesday through Friday.
  • Market to Mission.

Monday through Friday, March 4 through March 8

  • Lombard to Greenwich.
  • Greenwhich to Filbert.
  • Filbert to Union. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Union to Green. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Vallejo to Broadway. (Friday only)
  • Broadway to Pacific. (Friday only)
  • Pacific to Jackson. (Friday only)
  • Washington to Clay. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Clay to Sacramento. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Sacramento to California. *Intensive noise and vibration is expected. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • California to Pine. *Intensive noise and vibration is expected. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • O'Farrell to Ellis. (Wednesday through Friday only)
  • Ellis to Eddy.
  • Golden Gate to McAllister. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
