Fillmore District/Pacific Heights
A lively blend of art and soul is coming to one of the city's most unique neighborhoods this weekend when the Fillmore Jazz Festival --the largest free jazz festival on the West Coast -- returns to Fillmore Street between Jackson and Eddy streets. Typically drawing more than 100,000 visitors over the Independence Day weekend, the festival provides all-day grooves to the sounds of live music from multiple stages, while visitors browse the offerings of over 12 blocks of fine art and crafts and enjoy gourmet food and beverages.
How to Get There on Muni: Riders may take the 1 California, 2 Clement, 3 Jackson, 10 Townsend, 22 Fillmore, 24 Divisadero, 31 Balboa, 38 Geary or the 38R Geary Rapid to the event.
Muni Service Notes: The 3, 22, and 24 will have reroutes in the area. The 1, 2, 31, 38 and 38R routes may see minor delays and heavier than usual ridership to and from the event.
“On Tap” gives you a heads up about the big events in town and what Muni routes and lines will get you to the party. Look for this feature to be posted usually on Wednesdays for a look ahead to the weekend. Check out our Weekend Traffic & Transit Advisory for more details.
