Safer Taylor Street Pop-Up Design Workshop

Wednesday, Aug. 30, 12 to 6 p.m.

Taylor Street, between Turk and Eddy streets (west side)

As we shared last week, join us this Wednesday to envision a safer Taylor Street at our on-street pop-up design workshop.

This event is part of our ongoing outreach work for the Safer Taylor Street project. At the event, we'll demonstrate how potential features like wider sidewalks, shorter pedestrian crossings and a protected bike lane could help improve Taylor. These ideas will be showcased using temporary physical installations, 3D models and guided tours so you can weigh in.

The event will also include social activities with community-based organizations and neighborhood businesses for all ages to take part in.

Engineering Public Hearing

Friday, Sep. 1, 10 a.m.

City Hall, Room 416

Nearby Muni Routes: 5, 19, 21, 47, 49, F Market, Metro-Civic Center Station

These Friday hearings in front of a city traffic engineer and hearing officer cover traffic and parking changes that stem from public requests or larger agency initiatives. Some items on the agenda can be approved at the public hearing; others require final legislation by the SFMTA Board of Directors.

SFMTA Board of Directors Meeting

Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1 p.m.

City Hall, Room 400

Nearby Muni Routes: 5, 19, 21, 47, 49, F Market, Metro-Civic Center Station

Our board of directors meetings are usually held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. The agenda will be posted under “meetings” on the board’s webpage 72 hours in advance.

Our Meeting Round-Up feature highlights different SFMTA public meetings that will be held within the coming two weeks. These meetings give you the chance to share your ideas and provide us with helpful feedback. Join us at our next meeting to learn more about SF's changing and complex transportation system.

Those listed above are just a few highlights. You can find a full list of upcoming meetings to keep up to date on your favorite SFMTA committees.
