The contract with New Flyer is for 200 buses and allows for us to acquire them through annual options. Tomorrow, staff will ask the Board to approve the option for this year.

The agendas are posted under “meetings” on the Board’s web page 72 hours in advance of the meeting. All regular meetings can be viewed on The City channel 78 or online at the SFGovTV2.

As a part of this effort we are holding a public forum regarding the proposed changes along the corridor.

At our April open house we’ll be gathering input on the top two design options (.pdf) for transit-only lanes on Mission Street.

If you cannot attend, but would still like to provide feedback about the 14 Mission project, please take the online survey for the project.

This open house is an opportunity for the public to learn about upcoming safety improvements for the Upper Market corridor, from Castro Street to Octavia Boulevard, which is one of the city’s ‘high injury’ pedestrian and bicycle corridors. Staff will be on hand to explain the approach to the project and how the proposed safety measures are expected make Upper Market Street safer and more comfortable for everyone.
