While there are no major events or service re-routes planned for this weekend, there is still a plethora of things to do and see this weekend.
If you’re motto is “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure,” then you might enjoy a good hunt and a nice sea breeze at the Treasure Island Flea Market. For music lovers, there's the long-loved indie music fest Noise Pop, which kicks off this weekend. For history buffs young and old, gather at the Palace of Fine Arts to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the Panama-Pacific International Expo, a seminal event in the city’s re-birth following the 1906 earthquake. And, of course, Lunar New Year festivities continue.
This is just a sampling of what is out there, be sure to check out these event calendars: FunCheapSF, SFStation, Red Tricycle and EventGuide for helpful ideas.
“On Tap” gives you a heads up about the big events in town and what Muni routes and lines will get you to the party. Look for this feature to be posted usually on Wednesdays for a look ahead to the weekend.
