“On Tap” gives you a heads up about the big events in town and which Muni routes and lines will get you to the party. This feature will usually be posted on Wednesdays for a look ahead to the weekend.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Saturday, 10 a.m.
Mission Creek Park

Out of the Darkness
Sunday, 10 a.m.
Mission Creek Park

Put on your walking shoes and spend the last weekend of summer in picture-perfect surroundings, lending support to a worthy cause by taking some extra strides.

Saturday’s three-mile Walk to End Alzheimer’s raises awareness and funds for research, care and solutions to fight an illness that affects so many, both directly and indirectly.

On Sunday, the three-mile Out of the Darkness suicide prevention walk supports efforts to shed more light onto a public health concern that affects people of all backgrounds.

Traffic in and around Mission Creek, Mission Bay and parts of The Embarcadero will see increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

Muni service note: Participants can ride the N Judah and T Third lines to 4th and King streets. Due to increased traffic in the area, N and T line service may experience minor delays in both directions.
