Detailed accounts of recent major system delays of 30-minutes or longer. We apologize if you were inconvenienced by any of these delays and thank you for riding Muni. Incidents are posted on this page no earlier than the following regular business day.

 

Thursday, June 30

  • From 2:24 to 3:18 p.m., the westbound F Market and Wharves Line was delayed at Market and Fifth streets by emergency vehicles. Southbound F streetcars switched back at the Ferry Plaza.
  • From 11:57 a.m. to 12:34 p.m., eastbound Muni Market Street service was blocked on Market Street between Ninth and Eighth streets by fire department activity.

Wednesday, June 29

  • From 5:30 to 6:22 p.m., the southbound T Third Street Line was delayed at Fourth and Berry streets due to a train with a mechanical issue. Southbound T trains were switched back at King and Fourth streets while northbound T trains were switched back at the Chase Center. The 15 supported T line service.

Tuesday, June 28

  • From 3:16 to 4:12 p.m., the Powell Mason Cable Car Line was routed onto the Powell Hyde Cable Car Line due to emergency track repair at Vallejo and Broadway streets.
  • From 5:21 to 5:55 a.m., the 19 Polk and 31 Balboa routes were routed around Eddy and Polk streets in both directions due to fire department activity.

Monday, June 27

  • From 9:24 to 11:02 p.m., the northbound 49 Van Ness/Mission Route routed around Ocean and Delano avenues due to fire department activity.
  • From 7:53 to 8:55 a.m., the westbound 1 California Route routed around Sacramento and Mason streets due to fire department activity.

Saturday, June 25

  • From 10:13 to 11:58 a.m., both directions of the 14 Mission, 14R Mission Rapid, 15 Bayview Hunters Point Express, 30 Stockton and 45 Union/Stockton routes routed around the areas of Mission Street between Third and Fourth streets and Third Street between Howard and Market streets due to police activity.
  • From 4:32 a.m. to 7:05 a.m., the 90 San Bruno Owl and 9 San Bruno routes routed around the area of 11th Street between Folsom and Harrison streets due to police activity.

Thursday, June 23

  • From 7:00 to 8:56 p.m., the 8 Bayshore Route routed around Bay and Powell streets in both directions due to fire department activity.
  • From 2:26 to 3:51 p.m., the 19 Polk Route routed around Evans Avenue and Rankin Street in both directions due to a non-Muni collision.

Wednesday, June 22

  • From 9:59 a.m. to 1:34 p.m., Muni Metro subway service was suspended in both directions between West Portal and Church stations due to police activity at Castro station. Eastbound K Ingleside and M Ocean View trains switched back at West Portal station. Westbound T Third Street trains switched back at Castro station. Bus shuttles supported Metro service.

Tuesday, June 21

  • From 6:45 to 7:19 p.m., the westbound California Cable Car Line was delayed at California and Leavenworth streets due to a disabled cable car.
  • From 6:32 to 7:33 p.m., the eastbound 14 Mission and 14R Mission Rapid routes routed around the area of Mission Street between Ninth and 10th streets due to a non-Muni collision.
  • From 4:51 to 6:00 p.m., the northbound 30 Stockton Route routed around the area of Columbus Avenue between Greenwich and Filbert streets due to a fallen tree branch
  • From 1:59 to 2:21 p.m., the eastbound K Ingleside Line was delayed at Ocean Avenue an San Leandro Way due to a non-Muni collision.

Monday, June 20

  • From 6:44 to 7:21 p.m., the eastbound 5 Fulton and 5R Fulton Rapid routes routed around Fulton Street and Park Presidio Boulevard due to a non-Muni collision. 
  • From 12:47 to 1:20 p.m., the Powell/Mason Cable Car Line was delayed in both directions due to a disabled cable car at Bay and Taylor streets.

Saturday, June 18

  • From 7:41 to 8:42 p.m., the N Judah Line was delayed at Carl and Willard streets in both directions due to a non-Muni collision.

Friday, June 17

  • From 6:47 to 7:32 p.m., the northbound Powell-Mason Cable Car Line was blocked at Columbus Avenue and Taylor Street due to an auto blockage.
  • From 2:13 to 2:58 a.m., the eastbound 14 Mission Owl Route routed around Mission and 16th streets due to police activity.

Thursday, June 16

  • From 6:55 to 7:45 a.m., the eastbound 38 Geary Route routed around O’Farrell Street and Van Ness Avenue due to an auto blockage.

Wednesday, June 15

  • From 9:59 to 11:44 p.m., the eastbound 38 Geary Route was routed around O'Farrell and Hyde streets due to police activity.
  • From 8:10 to 8:42 a.m., the southbound Powell Mason Cable Car Line was delayed at Mason and Washington streets due a Muni-involved collision.

Tuesday, June 14

  • From 10:47 to 11:39 p.m., the northbound T Third Street Line was blocked at Third Street and Le Conte Avenue due to a disabled auto on the trackway.
  • From 7:57 to 9:17 p.m., the 8 Bayshore, 9 San Bruno, and 9R San Bruno Rapid routes were routed around the area of San Bruno Avenue between Wilde Avenue and Dwight Street in both directions due to fire department activity.
  • From From 5:02 to 6:03 p.m., due to fire department activity near John McLaren Park, the 8 Bayshore, 9 San Bruno, and 9R San Bruno Rapid routes were routed around the area in both directions.
  • From 1:09 to 2:15 p.m., both directions of the F Market and Wharves Line were blocked at Market and Mason streets due to a Muni-involved collision. Eastbound F streetcars switched back at Market and 11th streets. Southbound streetcars switched back at Don Chee Way.
  • From 11:35 a.m. to 12:32 p.m., both directions of the Powell/Mason and Powell/Hyde Cable Car lines were delayed at Hyde and Chestnut streets.due to a non-Muni collision.
  • From 6:10 to 6:42 a.m., the southbound Powell/Mason and Powell/Hyde Cable Car lines were delayed at Washington and Mason streets due to a Muni-involved collision.
  • From 1:09 to 5:49 a.m., both directions of the 14 Mission Owl Route routed around Mission Street between 20th and 21st streets due to a non-Muni collision.

Monday, June 13

  • From 9:31 to 10:28 p.m., Muni Metro service was delayed at Montgomery station due to a passenger altercation and debris in the trackway.
  • From 12:55 to 2:00 p.m., the northbound 30 Stockton Route routed around Columbus Avenue and Bay Street due to police activity.
  • From 9:36 to 10:14 a.m., both directions of the 19 Polk Route routed around the area of Rhode Island Street between 23rd and 24th streets due to a non-Muni collision. 
  • From 5:25 to 7:07 a.m., both directions of the 14 Mission and 14R Mission Rapid routes routed around the area of Mission Street between Fifth and Sixth streets due to a disabled truck and trailer.

Sunday, June 12

  • From 5:55 to 6:32 p.m., the 48 Quintara/24th Street Route was routed around 24th and Harrison streets in both directions due to police activity.
  • From 12:37 to 2:06 p.m., the eastbound 5 Fulton Route was routed around Fulton Street and 22nd Avenue due to a non-Muni collision.

Saturday, June 11

  • From 1:34 to 3:47 p.m., the eastbound 15 Bayview/Hunters Point and 54 Felton routes were routed around the area of Third Street between Newcomb and Oakdale avenues due to police activity.
  • From 1:13 to 2:15 p.m., the 22 Fillmore, 33 Ashbury/18th Street, and 55 Dogpatch routes were routed around 16th and Folsom streets in both directions due to police activity.
  • From 8:47 a.m. to 12:59 p.m., the eastbound 12 Folsom/Pacific Route was routed around Pacific and Kearny streets due to two disabled automobiles.

Friday, June 10

  • From 8:59 p.m. through the end of service, the eastbound 1 California Route was routed around Clay Street between Larkin and Hyde streets due to fire department activity.
  • From 5:49 to 36:23 p.m., the eastbound N Judah Line was delayed at Irving Street and Arguello Boulevard due to a train with a mechanical issue. Eastbound N trains switched back at Judah Street and 19th Avenue. Bus shuttles supported line service.

Thursday, June 9

  • 5:08 to 5:48 p.m., due to police activity at Third Street and Revere Avenue, the 54 Felton Route was routed around the area in both directions. The southbound T Third Street Line was switched back at Third Street and Evans Avenue while northbound T trains were held at the Bayshore terminal.
  • From 4:20 p.m. through the end of service, the 19 Polk and 31 Balboa routes were routed around Eddy and Larkin streets in both directions due to a non-Muni collision.
  • From 2:13 to 2:46 p.m., the eastbound 56 Rutland Route was routed around Sawyer Street and Leland Avenue due to police activity.
  • From 1:42 to 3:36 p.m., the westbound 25 Treasure Island Route rerouted via the Bay Bridge Toll Plaza due to a stalled automobile on the on ramp.
  • From 1:20 to 2:08 a.m., the 91 Owl Route was routed around Visitacion Avenue and Cora Street in both directions due to a non-Muni collision.

Tuesday, June 7

  • From 3:16 to 5:09 p.m., the Powell/Mason Cable Car Line was delayed in both directions due to a disabled tour bus blocking the trackway at Columbus Avenue and Chestnut Street.
  • From 5:55 to 8:23 a.m., the inbound 8 Bayshore, 8AX Bayshore Express, and 8BX Bayshore Express routes used an alternate street reroute due to police activity on northbound 101.

Sunday, June 5

  • From 10:36 a.m. to 1:28 p.m., both directions of the 29 Sunset and 49 Van Ness/Mission routes routed around Ocean Avenue and Alemany Boulevard due to a non-Muni collision.

Saturday, June 4

  • From 12:45 to 3:08 p.m., all Market Street lines rerouted via Mission in both directions due to a downed overhead wire.

Thursday, June 2

  • From 1:43 to 2:41 p.m., the northbound F Market and Wharves Line was delayed due to a non-Muni collision on San Jose Avenue and 30th Street.

Wednesday, June 1

  • From 11:13 to 11:46 a.m., the eastbound 31 Balboa Route routed around Eddy and Jones streets due to police activity.
  • From 6:08 to 9:35 a.m., the westbound 31 Balboa Route routed around Turk and Market streets due to fire department activity.
