Employee unscheduled absence rate

Purpose

Unscheduled absence rate is a key indicator in overall employee satisfaction and reaching a goal of strengthening workplace morale and wellness throughout the agency.

Definition

Employee unscheduled absence rate is determined by the number of absence hours by the total number of scheduled work hours and is reported agency-wide.

Methodology

sum ([absence hours]) ÷ sum ([scheduled work hours])

Target

Establish a baseline and decrease unscheduled absence rate
