As we embrace the warm summer, the project remains current and active. The team has been diligently working on design concepts and navigating various feasibility reviews.
Currently, we are preparing a proposed design that aims to balance roadway safety with active transportation, curbside loading activities, accessibility, transit, and emergency response access. We're using initial feedback from the community and interdepartmental reviews to guide the design, while carefully considering necessary tradeoffs. The project priorities include facilitating parking and loading activities and creating an improved bicycle network connection from Market Street to Polk Street.
We are working on a comprehensive update, including a revised timeline, which we hope to share soon. The project team plans to present the designs to the community later this year and will create more opportunities for further feedback. Thank you for your continued interest!
