The San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC) is currently conducting a review process to choose artist or artist teams for two artwork opportunities for the Potrero Yard Modernization Public Art Project:
- Architecturally integrated glass artwork on the 17th Street bus ramp between Hampshire and Bryan Streets measuring approximately 11,000 sq ft facing Franklin Square.
- Architecturally integrated glass artwork on a multi-story stairwell measuring approximately 3,800 sq ft, located on Mariposa Street at York Street.

The landmark glass artworks will illuminate and celebrate the people, history, and diverse cultures of San Francisco's Potrero Hill and Mission neighborhoods and adjacent Calle 24 and American Indian Cultural Districts, as well as highlight SFMTA’s mission to promote environmental stewardship and provide reliable, safe, and affordable transportation for all.
Seven artists/artist teams were chosen as finalists by a Public Art Review Panel to develop site-specific conceptual design proposals for these artwork opportunities:
- Bus Ramp on 17th Street: Celeste Byers and Spencer Keeton Cunningham, Precita Eyes Muralists, Twin Walls Mural Company
- Stairwell on Mariposa at York Street: Christopher Burch, Juan R. Fuentes, Jet Martinez, Josué Rojas
