In the Fall of 2013, additional changes will be made to address concerns expressed by the residents at community meetings. These changes include:
- A buffer on each side of the street so cars would not travel right next to the sidewalk (either parking or a bike lane would provide the desired buffer)
- Wider lanes at night (parking would be allowed on only one side of the street at all times)
- Increased visibility at intersections (red zones have been installed at some corners to improve visibility)
- Improved accommodations for people on bicycles, especially along the sloped portion of Holloway Avenue (an uphill, eastbound bike lane is proposed from Beverly Street to Vernon Street and a westbound bike lane is proposed from Ashton Avenue to Vernon Street).
