Proposed Commuter Shuttle Zone Change at September 6 SFMTA Board Hearing

Share this:

Dear Neighbors,

Thank you for your continued interest in the SFMTA Commuter Shuttle Program. We would like to inform you of proposed commuter shuttle zone changes at the upcoming SFMTA Board meeting on Tuesday, September 6 at 1pm in City Hall.

The 2016-2017 Commuter Shuttle Program was approved in March 2016 by the SFMTA Board and has been in effect since April 1, 2016.  The 2016-2017 Program includes measures to keep larger shuttles on designated arterials and off smaller streets, reduce vehicle miles traveled (VMT) and emissions, and ensure a safe and efficient transportation network for everyone on San Francisco streets.

The proposed change at the September 6th SFMTA Board meeting is as follows:

ESTABLISH – TOW-AWAY NO PARKING, PERMITTED COMMUTER SHUTTLE BUS ZONE, 6 AM TO 10 AM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY – San Jose Avenue, west side, from 23 to 130 feet south of Valley Street

This proposed commuter shuttle zone would replace the existing stop at San Jose Avenue and Dolores Street, which will be removed to accommodate a pedestrian safety enhancement project at that location this fall.

You can view the entire agenda and supporting documents on our website here. Comments may be submitted via email to MTABoard@sfmta.com or via public comment at the meeting.

Thank you
