Letter: Planning Commission SUD 2/13/13

Share this:

Dear Neighbor,

As part of the process to relocate the retrieval site for the Central Subway's tunnel boring machines (TBMs), the Planning Commission will consider a Special Use District (SUD) for the Pagoda Palace site at their meeting tomorrow, Thursday, February 14, at 12 p.m. The SUD would allow the owner of the Pagoda Palace to move forward with a previously approved development project after the demolition of the building and the extraction of the TBMs. The ordinance's passage is integral to the finalization of the retrieval site change.   We welcome and encourage public comment at this meeting. You can find information about the meeting online here.   Tomorrow morning we will provide an important update on the Pagoda Palace lease negotiations and our progress in achieving a solution.   Thank you for your continued participation as we work to respond to your concerns about the Central Subway's North Beach construction work.
Sincerely,
Edward D. Reiskin
SFMTA Director of Transportation
