Lake Merced Quick-Build Town Hall

Share this:

Proposed designs for the Lake Merced Quick-Build Project are now complete!  In partnership with the office of District 7 Supervisor Myrna Melgar, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) will host a Town Hall meeting and you’re invited! At the Town Hall you can meet the Lake Merced Quick-Build Project Team who will go over proposed project designs, obtain your feedback, and answer any project-related questions.

More details on the Town Hall meeting below:

The Lake Merced Quick-Build Project proposes many improvements along the corridor:

  • New bicycle facilities
  • Upgraded pedestrian amenities
  • Transit improvements
  • General traffic calming improvements

Designs are based on community priorities outlined in the Lake Merced Pedestrian Community Based Transportation Plan (2021) and build upon the Lake Merced Bikeway Feasibility Study (2021).

Following the Town Hall, SFMTA staff will continue conducting outreach, refining designs, and preparing for legislation. Our goal is to obtain approval at the SFMTA Board Hearing by the end of summer 2022. If approved, construction will begin by the end of 2022. To keep apprised of legislative meetings, please visit the Engineering Hearings page.
