Details of Work Performed:

Staging Areas Mobilizing to Start Construction

The L Taraval Improvement Project Segment B construction team has begun the process of mobilizing the first three of the approved staging areas needed for the access and storage of equipment and materials for construction crews to begin work along Taraval St. in the coming weeks.

Materials stored at these areas include waterline material, sewer material, equipment, steel plates, rails, VCP pipes, concrete and backfill materials.

Details by Location:

Westside of 36th Ave., between Taraval and Ulloa streets:

• Placement of the construction trailers (NTK's 10'x50' construction trailers and one 10' long generator) and equipment and construction material storage

• Installation of fence panels at perimeter to enclose the staging area

Southside of Wawona St. between 21st and 23rd avenues:

• Placement of water barriers at the perimeter to enclose the staging area
• Weekdays from Feb. 2- 9: mobilize steel plates, equipment and materials

 Southside of Santiago St. between 24th and 22nd avenues 

• Jan 31 - securing the staging area with K-rails and water barriers
• Feb. 9 - Mobilizing equipment, steel plates and sewer materials

What to Expect:

• Posting of No Parking Signs along the staging areas
• Mobilization and placement of water barriers
• Unloading of K-Rails, water barriers, equipment and material from flatbed trucks

Time of Work:

Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Traffic Impacts:

Some parking will be temporarily restricted in construction zones and traffic lanes will be modified during active work. There will be dedicated flagger(s) to direct traffic and pedestrians.
