The Kirkham and Ortega Neighborways have been approved for implementation. The proposal was brought to a SFMTA engineering public hearing on June 14, 2024 and the approval decision was made a week later by the City Traffic Engineer. The project team is now gearing up for implementation of the two approved proposals on Kirkham Street between 19th Avenue and La Playa and Ortega Street between 19th Avenue and 47th Avenue. Due to SFMTA crews capacity, implementation work is not expected to begin until later this year or in early 2025. Updates on the start of implementation and duration will be shared once it has been confirmed.
