There are four intersections of focus within the Fulton Street Safety and Transit Project. At each intersection, there are three general types of work that construction crews perform:
Demolition: Removing sections of the old sidewalk and streets.
Construction: Installing things like...
- Sidewalk extensions (also known as bulb-outs)
- Curbs and curb ramps
- Bus pads
- Drains for storm water
- New traffic signals
Restoration: Repairing the street, rebuilding the sidewalk, and...
- Reinstalling bus shelters and trash cans that were removed during demolition
- General cleanup
