October is a busy month for Active Communities, with several events this weekend and throughout the month. Join us for a bike ride through the city, one of many citywide events, or an upcoming community workshop!

10/13 – SF Bike Bus, JFK Promenade at Conservatory of Flowers, Ride starts at 7:45AM

10/13 – Bayview National Night Out, Bayview Opera House (3rd & Oakdale), 4PM – 6PM

10/15 – Excelsior Sunday Streets, 11AM – 4PM

10/15 – Phoenix Day (Citywide), 12PM – 5PM

10/15 – Phoenix Day Bike-Around, meet at Excelsior Coffee (4495 Mission St.) at 12PM. Bike to several Phoenix Day celebrations and block parties in Noe Valley, the Mission, the Tenderloin, and end at Webster St. and Page St, where the KidSafe SF Slow Ride and Family Social will begin. All are welcome!

10/15 – KidSafe SF and Urban Environmentalists are hosting a Slow Ride and Family Social for Phoenix Day. Meet up on Page St at Webster St at 1:30 PM, ride to the JFK Promenade Wine and Beer Garden at 14th Ave.

10/21 – Bike Fair with Assemblymember Phil Ting, Grattan Elementary School (165 Grattan St.), 10AM – 1PM. This event will include bike riding lessons, bike safety adjustments and repairs, a helmet giveaway, a bicycle safety obstacle course, and more.

What’s Next?
We are working to develop the draft active transportation network, which will be shared with the community in November.
In November and December, we will be holding open houses throughout the city to gather feedback on the draft network and proposed policies and programs. If you’d like us to attend your community meeting or event, contact ActiveCommunities@sfmta.com and let us know!
