Director of Parking

Ted Graff joined the SFMTA in 2015 and serves as the SFMTA’s Director of Parking, Curb Management, Operations & Contract Administration. Since October of 2023 until recently, Ted served as Acting Director of the Streets Division.

Ted has led many successful initiatives in his career at the SFMTA. He played a key role in the first reform of the Residential Parking Permit program since the 1970s; the upgrade of our parking garages through the Parking Access Revenue Control System; and the citywide rollout of demand-responsive parking meter pricing. He previously oversaw operations of four shops, the centralized Curb Management group, several different and high stakes contracts and all the city’s parking facilities. Prior to SFMTA, Ted worked in the private sector, where one of his accomplishments was supporting the parking industry’s largest privatization and infrastructure improvement plan through a Public Private Partnership between LAZ Parking and the City of Chicago.
