The Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board manages Caltrain commuter rail service on the San Francisco peninsula. The City and County of San Francisco is one of its constituent members.

The Peninsula Corridor Electrification Project will convert Caltrain service between San Francisco and San Jose from diesel to electric service.
