Monique Webster is the Regional Government Affairs Manager for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA). As a member of the agency’s Government Affairs team, Monique is responsible for providing strategic leadership and advancing the agency’s priorities, engagement, and coordination with regional level efforts, elected officials and agencies to foster positive relationships and achieve mutual policy goals including with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, Bay Area Air Quality Management District, Caltrain Joint Powers Board, BART, and others. Monique began her SFMTA career providing executive level analytical support for the management and coordination of Muni operations and went on to lead strategic financial planning, funding, and accounting for the agency’s $3 billion Capital Improvement Program. Before joining SFMTA, she held positions with the SF Board of Supervisors' Budget and Legislative Analyst’s Office and with public, non-profit, and private sector organizations in San Francisco and Washington D.C. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the U.C. Santa Barbara and a Masters’ in Public Policy from Georgetown University.
