Kimberly Leung manages the Livable Streets subdivision, which oversees the city’s programs for bicycle and pedestrian capital improvements, traffic calming, bikeshare, and school crossing guards. She is a California-licensed Professional Engineer and Traffic Engineer with over a decade of experience working for the SFMTA. She earned her MS in Transportation Engineering and her BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley. Kimberly is an active leader of the transportation community and has served as the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Western District President and San Francisco Bay Area Section President. She was elected ITE Western District International Director where she will be serving a 3-year term starting in January 2025 on the ITE International Board of Direction.
