Dear Taxi Industry,
San Francisco has launched https://sf.gov/get-vaccinated-against-covid-19 to provide the most current information on vaccination access. San Francisco is currently vaccinating:
- Healthcare workers
- People 65 years and older
- Education and childcare workers
- Emergency service workers
- Food and agriculture workers
See more details from the state about current eligibility.
While MTA requested that taxi drivers get the vaccination as soon as possible and be considered in the same group as Muni operators, this is not yet the case. The situation with vaccination eligibility is fluid, and SFMTA will continue to provide updates.
Every Californian can sign up with the state of California Department of Public Health to see if it’s your turn to get the COVID-19 vaccine. If you’re not currently eligible, you can sign up to be notified when it’s your turn.
All nine Bay Area counties are listed below with links to the local vaccine sign-up form or resources.
- Alameda
- Contra Costa
- Marin
- Napa
- San Francisco
- San Mateo (resources only)
- Santa Clara (resources only)
- Solano
- Sonoma (resources only)
If you are eligible to be vaccinated, you may schedule an appointment on-line at Get vaccinated against COVID-19 | San Francisco (sf.gov) or CDPH - CDPH (ca.gov), or you may call 1-833-422-4255 (M-F 8AM-8PM, Sat-Sun 8AM-5PM) for assistance.
Please note that supplies remain limited. Even if you are eligible, there may not be a dose available right now. Keep checking for available appointments.
Also, please continue to follow public health guidance to protect yourself from COVID-19; wear a face covering, wash your hands frequently, sanitize your taxi after each passenger trip and review SFMTA’s training video on proper cleaning procedures for a refresher on proper cleaning protocols.
Thank you again for all that you do to keep San Francisco moving.
