Public Hearing Notice: SFMTA Board of Directors Meeting, April 18, 2023

Notice is hereby given that the SFMTA Board of Directors intends to hold a public hearing on the following items and on other matters on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, beginning at 1:00pm. Additional information may be found on the meeting webpage. 

• Proposed Legislation: Suspending the requirement in Transportation Code, Division II, Section 916(a)(2), that the duration of Powered Scooter Share Program permits terms be up to two years, and authorizing the Director, or his designee, to extend the current permits by one year to June 2024 to conduct a full program evaluation and update program rules; and amending Transportation Code, Division II, Section 916(d)(5) to add sidewalk riding detection technology requirements to the scooter program.
• Proposed Legislation: Amending Transportation Code, Division II, Article 1100, Sections 1119–1121 to remove references to the Board of Appeals.
