Notice of Public Hearing: Tree Removals along Folsom Street

Effective Date

UPDATE - Due to proposed transportation safety improvements that will be implemented as part of the Folsom Streetscape Project and other tree structural conditions, the SFMTA initially proposed to remove (14) trees and proposed (34) new trees to be planted along the project corridor. Upon further analysis, the number of trees to be removed have been revised to (12) trees. 


The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency will hold a virtual public hearing on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 10 AM to consider the following:

Folsom Streetscape Project

Hearing re: Removal of twelve (12) street trees

Twelve (12) street trees are proposed for removal and thirty-four (34) new street trees are proposed to be planted on Folsom Street between 2nd and 11th Streets. Staff approved the removals, and the public has protested.
