Pursuant to SFMTA Order No. 6791 adopted August 8, 2024 the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency will hold a public hearing to solicit public input on the following proposed changes. Official testimonies can be submitted by email ccp@sfmta.com prior to the hearing.

1.3rd Avenue between Clement Street and California Street – Establishing Short-Term Parking

To accommodate a permanent Shared Spaces parklet on the 200 block of Columbus Avenue, the sponsor of the existing passenger loading zone, which occupies two metered parking spaces, was consulted. As a result, the loading zone was reconfigured to occupy one metered parking space with updated hours.

5.Sutter Street between Kearny Street and Montgomery Street – Removing a Passenger Loading Zone and Establishing a Commercial Loading Zone

Proposal would remove an unpaid passenger loading zone and establish commercial loading.

6.Steuart Street between Mission Street and Howard Street – Changing the Hours of a Passenger Loading Zone

7.7th Street between Minna Street and Mission Street – Establishing a General Loading Zone

New curbside bike lane installed on 7th Street between Minna Street and Mission Street will add a floating zone for general loading serving 111 7th Street.

8.Laguna Street between Birch Street and Fulton Street – Establishing a General Loading Zone

Would provide loading for a new grocery store’s customers and additional shared passenger and goods loading for the residents of the building.

9.Fulton Street between Laguna Street and Octavia Street – Establishing a Commercial Loading Zone

11. Cole Street between Fulton Street and Grove Street – Establishing a Commercial Loading Zone

Per sponsor's request, a commercial loading zone for pick-ups and deliveries will help increase safety and traffic flow by decreasing double parking on a sloped street.
12. 24th Street between Castro Street and Noe Street – Relocating a Commercial Loading Zone and Short-Term Parking

Per state assembly bill 413 intersections must be daylit to provide visibility for pedestrians and this proposal would convert short-term parking to passenger loading to better meet the daycare’s needs.

A childcare center lost access to their existing passenger loading zone and this would relocate the zone. These two spaces revert to general parking at all other times (RPP time limits still apply) outside the 4 hours per weekday specified above.

Per sponsor request, a school bus loading zone will allow buses to pick up and drop off students improving overall safety and traffic flow.
