9 San Bruno Rapid Project construction starts soon

Contruction will be kicking off early July for the 9 San Bruno Rapid Project! By Spring 2017, 20,000 daily riders on the 9 San Bruno and 9 San Bruno Rapid will have a quicker, more reliable ride, and a safer space to get on and off the bus.

Details:

Several transit reliability and pedestrian safety improvements will be constructed as part of the project, including:

  1. Transit bulbs at 11th St at Harrison, and along Bayshore Blvd at Jerrold, Oakdale and Cortland
  2. Transit islands at 11th St at Harrison, and along Bayshore Blvd at Flower and Cortland 
  3. Stop optimization along Bayshore Blvd at Jerrold, Oakdale and Cortland.

Timeline:

Construction begings early July 2016 and is anticipated for completion by spring 2017.
