UPDATE: Due to the ongoing track switch issue, our maintenance crew will need to make the emergency repairs before the end of revenue #subwaysvc. To minimize service impacts, OB trains will operate through the affected area but at a reduced speed as personnel will be on scene. We expect that there will be intermittent OB #subwaysvc holds while the repair work takes place. UPDATE: OB #subwaysvc is experiencing slow moving service btwn Van Ness and Church stations. Expect longer dwell times at station platforms btwn Embercadero & Van Ness.

FINAL UPDATE: IB/OB 48 has resumed regular service at 24th & Noe.

UPDATE: It has been determined that the repair work may take longer than the anticipated 20 mins, as a result our subway maintenance crew will wait until revenue #subwaysvc has ended to make those repairs. The subway will conduct normal svc operations.

UPDATE: Our subway maintenance team is preparing to conduct emergency repairs on the track switch in the next 15 mins. We anticpate an OB #subwaysvc delay of approx. 20 mins. Select IB trains maybe switchback on the surface to help alleviate any possible congestion issues. UPDATE: Track switch issue is resolved. We are working to reduce downtown traffic in both directions. Expect slow-moving service between Van Ness & Embarcadero in both directions until service has balanced out.
