Construction Update: January 22, 2025

Since construction began on the Fulton Street Safety and Transit Project began in late October, sidewalks have been renovated, bus boarding bulb-outs have been installed and drainage infrastructure has been upgraded. Soon, new and higher-visibility traffic signals will be put in place. 

Here is a snapshot of what has been completed on the project as of January 22, 2025:

Fulton Street & 6th Avenue

  • Drainage infrastructure updated at northwest, southwest and northeast corners

Fulton Street & 8th Avenue

  • Curbs and gutters renovated
  • Sidewalk renovated
  • New bus pad installed to improve safety and efficiency of boarding
  • Street base refreshed and street repaved
  • Foundation for new bus shelter poured; new bus shelter will be installed in near future
  • Foundations for new traffic signals poured; signals will be installed in near future

Fulton Street & 10th Avenue

  • Curbs and gutters renovated at northeast and southwest corners
  • Sidewalk renovated at southwest corner
  • Curb ramps renovated at northeast and southwest corners
  • Street base poured; street to be paved in near future

Fulton Street & Arguello Boulevard

  • Curbs and gutters renovated
  • Sidewalk renovated
  • New bus pad installed to improve safety and efficiency of boarding
  • Street base poured; street to be paved in near future
  • Foundation for new bus shelter poured; new bus shelter will be installed in near future
  • Foundations for new traffic signals poured; signals will be installed in near future
  • Fire hydrant relocated
