Curbside EV charging stations Notice of Application Submission

It's Electric has submitted an application to install two electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in front of 55 Fillmore Street along Hermann St, with two parking spaces reserved for EV charging only. These charging stations will be open to everyone in the neighborhood day and night
 

What is an it’s electric Charging Station?

  • it’s electric EV charging stations are small, sleek, and require a user to bring a detachable cable
  • it’s electric’s chargers dispense 7.6 kWh, adding about 25 miles of range per hour (ideal for overnight charging)

How do I receive a cable to charge with?

  • You can sign up as a driver by following this link, https://www.itselectric.us/join
  • it’s electric provides every driver (at no cost) with their own cable compatible to their vehicle

How can I learn more about it’s electric or request a charger for my block?

  • You can join the waitlist for a charger (anywhere in the city) by following this link, https://www.itselectric.us/join
  • There is no cost to you for hardware or for installation
  • Property partners where a charger is located, will receive a portion of the revenue generated

Who will install and maintain the charging stations?

  • it’s electric will install the charging station and is responsible for maintenance
  • Installation is performed by licensed union electricians and is permitted by the City of San Francisco

Does this mean this is a private parking spot for that address?

  • No, it’s not private. Anyone can use it, but without an Area S permit, charging is limited to 2 hours from 8:00am-9:00pm

If I don‘t own an EV can I park there?

  • No, this is a spot dedicated to EV Charging

How will the EV Charging Stations work?

  • Signage will be installed indicating ‘No Parking Except for Electric Vehicles While Charging'
  • Non-electric vehicles and electric vehicles not actively charging may be cited
  • Residential parking permit (RPP) and street sweeping parking rules still apply. Follow all parking signs to avoid a ticket. 

The cost for charging an EV will be:

  • $1.85 hour from 9:00pm-8:00am (night)
  • $3.50 hour from 8:00am-9:00pm (day)
