Muni operates on modified schedules for major holidays, following the City and County of San Francisco Holiday Calendar. This page contains general information about what to expect for each holiday. Leading up to each holiday schedule change, we will post a detailed Travel & Transit Update that will appear on Route and Schedule pages.

Weekend Schedules
No Service
- The following weekday-only bus routes will not run: 1X, 5R, 8AX, 8BX, 9R, 28R, 714.
- No Supplemental School Day Service.
Modified Service
- The Muni Metro Subway will open at 8 a.m.
Added Service
- The Early Morning Metro Buses will operate from 5 to 8 a.m.
