Event Summary

The San Francisco 49ers will play the Detroit Lions in the NFC Conference Championship playoff game this Sunday, January 28. In anticipation of possible public reactions to the outcome of the game that may impact Muni service in the Mission District, the SFMTA has developed service contingency plans to be implemented if necessary. Please read below for the contingency information regarding possible street closures and Muni reroutes.

Street Closures

The following streets may be closed from approximately 5:30 to 10 p.m. (or until the streets clear).

  • 24th Street between Potrero and Valencia
  • Mission between Cesar Chavez and 21st St.

Note: Muni vehicles will be allowed east- and westbound through the area in certain locations.
