Service & Stop Changes Effecting July 9, 2022

Along with the service changes taking place as part of our 2022 Muni Service Network plan, there are several smaller service changes and stop closures/relocations that will go into effect on Saturday, July 9. 

Sunnydale Road Closure & Reroute: 8 Bayshore, 8BX Bayshore "B" Express, & 91 Owl

A closure of Sunnydale Avenue between Hahn and Santos streets as part of ongoing work to reconstruct the road and adjacent housing will require the 8, 8 BX, and 91 Owl buses to reroute around the area.

Stop Addition at Third and Marin: 15 Bayview Hunters Point Express Route

The 15 Bayview Express will serve a new stop at Third and Marin streets in both directions.

Stop Removals on 16th Street: 22 Fillmore, 27 Bryant, 33 Ashbury/18th St. & 55 Dogpatch routes

Six stops on 16th Street will be permanently discontinued as part of the 16th Street Improvement Project. These stop removals, along with dedicated transit lanes and bus bulbs, help reduce travel times along the corridor.

Stop Changes: 28 19th Avenue & 91 Owl Routes

The following stops along 19th Avenue will be relocated and/or converted to bus bulbs.

Stop Relocation: 30 Stockton

The inbound (toward Caltrain via Downtown) stop on Mason & Halleck in the Presidio will be relocated from the east side of Halleck across the street to the west side of the intersection. This change is due to the opening of Tunnel Tops Park which will open on July 17, 2022.

Terminal & Route Changes: 30 Stockton & 45 Union/Stockton

The inbound (toward Caltrain) 30 Stockton will be modified to operate along 4th Street between Harrison and Townsend streets. Additionally, the 30 Stockton and 45 Union/Stockton terminals on Townsend will be relocated. Please see the map below for details.

Stop Removal: 37 Corbett

The inbound (toward The Haight) 37 Corbett will no longer serve the stop island on Church & Market. This change is to improve stop spacing and reduce travel times on the 37. Riders may access the stop on 14th & Church in order to connect with the Church Street Muni Metro station, J Church, N Judah or 22 Fillmore. Note: The J Church and 22 Fillmore will still serve this stop location.

Route Change: 48 Quintara/24th Street

The 48 Quintara/24th Street Route will travel on Tennessee Street instead of Third Street 24 hours per day in response to operator feedback. As a result of this change, the inbound (toward Potrero Hill) stop on 3rd & 22nd will be discontinued. See map below for more details.

The K bus and L Owl will have stop changes at West Portal station.
