Van Ness Avenue Construction Forecast: December 10-21, 2018

The following Van Ness Improvement Project construction forecast is subject to change. For more project details, please visit SFMTA.com/VanNess.

The night shift for construction is scheduled between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. During this time, neighbors are advised to anticipate construction-related noise and vibrations as crews work diligently to complete necessary night work.

Tentative schedule:

In the next two weeks crews are scheduled to work on sewer and water main installation, sidewalk replacement, installing a joint utility trench, and street light conduits and potholing for upcoming work.

Monday through Friday, December 10 through December 14

  • Bay to Francisco (Monday through Thursday only)
  • Chestnut to Lombard Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Disruptive noise is expected. On Monday and Tuesday night, intensive noise and vibration is expected.
  • Lombard to Greenwich Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Disruptive noise is expected. On Monday and Tuesday night, intensive noise and vibration is expected.
  • Union to Green
  • Green to Vallejo
  • Vallejo to Broadway
  • Broadway to Pacific
  • Pacific to Jackson
  • Jackson to Washington
  • Washington to Clay Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Clay to California (Thursday and Friday only) Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • California to Pine *Intensive noise and vibration is expected Thursday and Friday only. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Pine to Bush Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. On the night of Monday, December 10, intensive noise is expected.
  • Bush to Sutter Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. On the night of Monday, December 10, intensive noise is expected.
  • Sutter to Post Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. On the night of Monday, December 10, intensive noise is expected.
  • Post to Geary Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Geary to O'Farrell Night work is also scheduled Monday, December 10, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • O'Farrell to Ellis Night work is scheduled Monday, December 10, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Turk to Golden Gate (Thursday and Friday only)
  • McAllister to Grove (Crews are only scheduled to work until 12:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday)
  • Grove to Hayes (Monday and Tuesday only)
  • Hayes to Fell (Monday through Thursday only)
  • Fell to Market (Friday only)

Monday through Friday, December 17 through December 21

  • Lombard to Greenwich (Friday only)
  • Greenwich to Filbert (Wednesday to Friday only)
  • Filbert to Union
