We’re in the initial phase of the tree selection process for new trees to be planted in the median along the Van Ness Avenue corridor. Urban forestry professionals have evaluated a list of more than 20 potential tree species based on a set of guidelines and selection criteria. The top tree selections will be presented to the Urban Forestry Council on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 8:30am, at City Hall, One Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Jr. Place, Room 400, San Francisco, California, 94102. Meanwhile, existing trees along the corridor are being evaluated for health and quality.
We will keep you updated on the tree selection process, and there will be upcoming opportunities for you to provide your feedback.
