The board approved a new Shared Electric Moped Parking Permit program, which will mainly allow shared e-mopeds to continue to be parked on streets with Residential Parking Permit (RPP) restrictions. The project, which is currently under construction, includes a landscaped median, wider sidewalks, a transit-only lane and other safety measures including bike lanes, curb extensions and “daylighting” for better visibility at corners.
The board reaffirmed its support of the project by approving additional parking removal that was erroneously omitted from the text approved in 2014.
