A festival in Civic Center celebrating Asian and Pacific Islander heritage on Saturday will offer up the opportunity to learn more about just how culturally diverse the Bay Area is. While the local sports scene maybe heavily focused on the Golden State Warriors' playoff push, the first place Giants play an important series with the Cubbies at AT&T Park.

Giants Baseball
Friday through next Wednesday, May 25
AT&T Park
Sitting atop the National League West, the Giants are back home Friday for a six-game home stand. First up, the Chicago Cubs bring baseball’s best record to AT&T Park for a clash of division leaders. Then it’s a western division duel as the G-Men close out this home stint against the San Diego Padres.
Plan on heading out to any of these games? Let Muni take you to AT&T Park. Service on the N Judah, T Third, E Line, 10 Townsend, 30 Stockton, 45 Union/Stockton, and 47 Van Ness will get you to or near 24 Willie Mays Plaza.
For complete details on taxis, biking, and parking during baseball season, visit our service alert page.
Don’t forget that you can skip waiting in line at the fare machine by purchasing your Muni fare in advance through MuniMobile.
Muni service note: Muni Metro will provide addition ballpark shuttle trains to assist fans with both pre- and post- game service. Patrons should expect minor service delays near the ballpark due to heavier pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Asian Heritage Street Celebration
Saturday, 1 to 6 p.m.
Civic Center
May is Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and the third Saturday of the month has become the traditional home of the Asian Heritage Street Celebration. This will be a multi-cultural experience as contingents representing the various Asian and Pacific Islander communities that call the Bay Area home will be on hand in traditional attire, performing cultural music and dance sets, and preparing delicious cuisine.
Muni service on the 19 Polk, 21 Hayes, 47 Van Ness and 49 Van Ness/Mission routes will get you close. Another option would be to take the Muni Metro subway to either Van Ness or Civic Center stations.
Muni service note: The 19 Polk Route will have an outbound re-route only, while other service routes might see minor delays due to increased ridership.
