The SFMTA is holding a public hearing to consider traffic calming and bicycle safety improvements on Bay Street.
The hearing for this project will be focused on the proposed speed hump, bicycle route changes, and minor parking modifications.
The City of San Francisco has observed a significant number of vehicle speeding along this segment of Bay Street and seeks to better ensure safety for people walking, riding bicycles, and driving by implementing the speed hump and other modifications.
In efforts to minimize any construction impact to the community, these proposals would be constructed in 2014 in coordination with an upcoming repaving of Bay Street led by the Department Public Works.
