Learn about the SFMTA’s budget plans. Ask questions, make suggestions.
The SFMTA provides San Francisco with Muni (public transit) and paratransit service, creates safe transportation options for people walking, biking and scooting, oversees taxis and parking, and ensures the smooth flow of traffic. We connect people with their community to enhance the economy, environment and quality of life.
Over the next few months, we will be developing our fiscal year 2024-2025 and 2025–2026 budget. We’ll need to make important decisions about the programs and services we offer as well as what we charge for them.
Please join this listening session on Saturday, March 2, from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at the San Francisco Public Library's Richmond Branch Meeting Room (350 9th Avenue) to learn about the SFMTA’s financial situation. This includes our draft budget proposal to consider new revenue options and potential fare increases that would help avoid service changes and cuts to programs and services. We’d like to hear your questions, concerns and suggestions and this meeting is fully open to the public.
If you cannot join this in-person meeting, you can watch a recording of the virtual Budget Listening Session we hosted on Zoom on February 22, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
If you are unable to attend any of our meetings, we still encourage you to reach out to us at Budget@SFMTA.com or (415) 646-2299 to voice your questions and suggestions.
