8th Avenue Neighborway Project Open House

Share this:
Mar 11

Please join the SFMTA for an community open house for the 8th Avenue Neighborway Project. The goals of this project is to make 8th Avenue a more pleasant place to walk and bike to neighborhood destinations and nearby parks.

The SFMTA has heard from neighbors that high levels of vehicle and tour bus traffic are leading to roadway safety concerns on 8th Avenue between Fulton and Lake streets. SFMTA engineers and planners are proposing several designs to reduce traffic conflicts and slow vehicle speeds on this street. These safety improvements could include speed humps and traffic/turn restrictions.

This open house is an opportunity to provide feedback on proposed traffic calming and circulation changes.
