The L Taraval Rapid Project aims to make the street safer for people walking and waiting for Muni, and increase the reliability of the L. Proposed improvements along Taraval include:
-
Boarding islands, to increase safety for passengers getting on and off the train
-
Dedicated transit-only lanes, to keep vehicles out of Muni’s lane & ensure the train arrives on time
-
Stop consolidation, so Muni can travel the same distance in less time
- Replacement of track, worn overhead wire & trolley poles for a smoother, quieter ride
You spoke, we listened
Over the past few months we’ve hosted two open houses, talked with community groups, residents, merchants and L Taraval riders, and conducted two online surveys to gather input on proposed improvements along Taraval. We’ve made revisions based on what we heard, and are excited to show you our updated proposal.
Project survey
An online survey is available for anyone interested in providing feedback on the project. If you have not yet had a chance to weigh in on the proposals, please do! We'll be closing the survey a week prior to the open house.
