The Sustainable Streets Division of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) will hold a public hearing on Friday, September 27, 2013, at 10AM, in Room 416 (Hearing Room 4), City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco, CA 94102, to gather public input on the proposal for a one year long 5 Fulton Pilot Project. The proposed 5 Fulton Pilot Project includes bus stop, traffic lane and parking changes to improve safety and transit reliability and to reduce transit travel times. The proposed 5 Fulton Pilot Project would introduce limited-stop service along a portion of the 5 Fulton corridor to provide quicker transit trips and would increase transit service frequency along a portion of the 5 Fulton corridor to reduce crowding. The proposed transit service changes include:
• Weekday evening and weekend service would be similar to existing service, with all electric buses making all stops.
• Weekdays from approximately 7AM-7PM, the 5L Fulton Limited route (electric buses) would make all stops between La Playa/Cabrillo streets and Fulton Street/6th Avenue, limited stops between Fulton Street/6th Avenue and McAllister/Leavenworth streets and all stops between McAllister/Leavenworth streets and the Temporary Transbay Terminal; proposed limited stops include Fulton Street at Arguello Boulevard, Parker Avenue/Shrader Street, and Masonic Avenue, and McAllister Street at Divisadero Street, Fillmore Street, Van Ness Avenue, Leavenworth Street (inbound only) and Jones Street (outbound only).
• Weekdays from approximately 7AM-7PM, the 5 Fulton short line route (motor buses) would provide additional service at all stops between Fulton Street/6th Avenue and the Temporary Transbay Terminal.
