Over the next two weeks, staff from the Twin Peaks Tunnel Trackway Improvement Project will host three community town halls in the neighborhoods affected by upcoming construction to provide an overview of the project and answer questions. The details are listed below.
The project will start later this year and will provide much needed work in the Twin Peaks Tunnel, which runs between Castro and West Portal stations. The project will replace the track and make important infrastructure improvements, including seismic reinforcement. On an average weekday, the K Ingleside, L Taraval and M Ocean View Muni lines that use the tunnel carry more than 95,000 trips.
