In November, the SFMTA launched the Residential Parking Permit Evaluation & Reform Project to start the process of changing the RPP program, which was created nearly 40 years ago.
This month, the project will kick off its community meetings. There are four initial meetings planned throughout the city and scheduled on three weeknights and one weekend to provide as many folks as possible an opportunity to learn about the project and provide feedback. The information presented at each meeting will be the same. You may choose to attend any one of the open houses – or all of them – to share your ideas or provide input.
The familiar residential parking signs by lettered areas (Area U, in this case) let non-residents know about the two-hour limit.
Additional meetings:
- RPP Open House/Chinatown/Nob Hill: Wednesday, February 24, 2016, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- RPP Open House/Richmond District/Sunset: Saturday, February 27, 2016, 9:30 am to 12:00 pm
- RPP Open House/San Francisco City College/Ocean Campus: Tuesday, March 1, 2016, 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm
