"Hold hands" and "look both ways" are two of the basics we learn as kids to stay safe on the street. But as SF streets get busier, it's increasingly more important to help parents and teachers reinforce the importance of street safety. Today, we’re excited to share with you our new Transportation Activity Book (PDF) that we hope will help the next generation of San Franciscans better understand how to stay safe when they're on the street.

The 12-page book for kids is chock-full of safety tips, lessons and activities about getting around the city. Some of the topics covered include walking through construction zones, riding bicycles on the street and taking Muni. The activities and messages in the activity book help support the city’s Vision Zero policy by promoting safety awareness for people of all ages

We hope you and the young people in your life enjoy coloring in the pages and completing the activities together, all while learning how we can make San Francisco streets safer.

We’ll be giving away copies of the activity book at community events throughout the city, including this summer’s Sunday Streets events. You can also download and share the .PDF printables linked below.
