Today – and over the coming Pride weekend – we celebrate with our beautiful city. The historic Supreme Court ruling on Obergefell v. Hodges is sure to mean an even more effusive celebration. The citywide fest will, of course, culminate in Sunday’s parade of parades down Market Street. We are ready with all the planned Muni re-routes and traffic control staff to help keep the rest of the city moving.
A great summary of SF Pride events is on the SF Pride site.
Below is our list of events and the routes and lines that will be affected.
- Friday: Trans March service alert
- Friday: Civic Center setup service alert
- Saturday: Dyke March and Pink Party service alert
- Sunday: Pride Parade service alert
- Monday: Civic Center cleanup service alert
Remember that on Sunday Market Street bus routes and the F Line will be diverted. Most will turn back, Muni routes 6, 7 and 9 will be re-routed to Mission Street. The Muni Metro subway will be the best option for getting to the party at Civic Center and to your favorite parade-watching spot.
Our Pride parade contingent will be cheering along the street from our authentic motorized cable car, two parking control Go-4s and a whole passel of bikes. We’ll be joined by our friends from Bay Area Bike Share – and Pride Bike!
We look forward to seeing you out there. Have a safe and joyous Pride!
