TO: San Francisco Taxi Drivers, Color Scheme Managers and Medallion Holders

Pursuant to San Francisco Transportation Code, Division II, §1105(a)(5), “[u]nless earlier revoked or suspended, all permits shall expire one year following their issuance or renewal, or on another date as specified by the SFMTA.”  San Francisco Taxi Medallions issued or renewed for Fiscal Year 2023 are set to expire on June 30, 2023. 

To allow Medallion Holders additional time to complete the renewal process, FY23 San Francisco Taxi Medallions will be extended until August 31, 2023.  San Francisco Taxi Medallions that expire on June 30, 2023 are authorized to operate until August 31, 2023.
