Guidelines for Street Closure for Special EventsThe Department of Parking and Traffic is the lead agency in processing and coordinating any requests for a temporary street closure due to a special event. Anytime a person or organization would like to close a San Francisco City street(s) for a neighborhood block party, street fair, athletic event, etc., they must formally apply to the Interdepartmental Staff Committee on Traffic and Transportation (ISCOTT) through the offices of the Traffic Engineering Division of DPT. This web page provides a copy of the Temporary Street Closure Application Packet. For further information about temporary street closures or to receive a mailed copy of the application, please call Cindy Shamban at 415.701.4683.
