Service Changes Scheduled for October 2009

SFTMA Board of Directors Adopts Amended Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2009-2010 On April 30 the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) Board of Directors adopted an Amended Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Operating Budget which begins July 1. The budget includes a range of actions, including fare and fee increases and service changes, to close a $129 million deficit and to submit a balanced budget to the Mayor and Board of Supervisors by May 1 as required by City Charter. Some Muni transit fare increases, all parking meter and garage fee increases and taxi fee and permit increases will become effective July 1. Muni fares include:
