Parking Fees and Fines Increase for Fiscal Year 2014
SFMTA operates public garages; manages on-street parking through meters, color curbs, various permits; and sells parking meter cards. SFMTA also enforces parking regulations through the Enforcement Division. The Parking Authority strives to provide clean, safe and convenient parking at reasonable rates.
Avoid having to carry change. Buy a parking meter card! A shipping and handling fee will apply for each order.
The preferential residential parking system’s main goal is to provide more parking spaces for residents by discouraging long-term parking by people who do not live in the area. There are now 28 residential permit areas in the City.
